Cayman Island Map
The Cayman Islands, a British crown colony, is made up of three islands covering a total land area of 100 square miles (260 square km). As shown of this Cayman Island map, one large island nearly 20 miles long, Grand Cayman, is joined by two smaller islands 80 miles to the north, Little Cayman in the west and Cayman Brac in the east. Most of the colony's 30,000 residents live on Grand Cayman, especially in and around the town of George Town, visible on this Cayman Island map on the western shores of the island. While the Cayman Islands are relatively flat, small hills dot the interior of each island, especially in their eastern halves. This Cayman Island map shows another interesting geographical feature - Grand Cayman's hollowed out sound, which has been put to use by scuba divers and snorkelers for its translucent waters and abundant marine life. Also ringing the Cayman Island map are dive-perfect caves and coves, homes to many legendary occupants including Blackbeard the pirate. While this collection of islands is relatively small, purchasing a Cayman Island map will greatly facilitate getting around the area, especially on Grand Cayman where points-of-interest are strewn haphazardly across its territory.
